As a Consultant Upper GI and Robotic Surgeon at the Royal Surrey County NHS foundation trust and The Guildford Nuffield, I believe patients should have a clear understanding of their options and feel confident in the plan ahead. Where it is safe and suitable, I use keyhole and robotic techniques to help support a quicker recovery. My background includes service as an Army doctor in Germany, Kenya and Afghanistan, major trauma work at The Royal London. I completed fellowship training in minimally invasive oesophago-gastric surgery at St Thomas’ Hopital after higher surgical training in Southampton . My research culminated in a PhD from the University of Southampton.
